The purpose of this site is to provide information on the Kahler Glen Community Association (KGCA). This site will be updated on a regular basis and is your primary resource for Board decisions and important homeowner information. For general resort information please see www.kahlerglen.com.
1/11/12 The January 15, 2012 Board Meeting has been changed to a conference call. The call will be at 11 AM and if you would like to listen in, please contact the board at board@kahlerglencommunity.com for dial in instructions.
1/5/12 The December 2011 Draft KGCA Board Minutes are now posted. The next board meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 15 at 11 AM at the restaurant at Kahler Glen.
12/28/11 Reminder: The KGCA Board Meeting start time was changed to 8:30 AM on 12/31/11 at the Kahler Glen Conference Center and will be followed by a Community Forum from 11-12:30. All owners are welcome to attend.
12/10/11 A revised set of November Condo Association board meeting minutes have been posted with the earlier version removed. Also, the KGCA Survey results are posted on the 2011 Community Survey page. They are password protected and owners received the password by e-mail.
11/23/11 The minutes from the November KGCA Condo Association board meeting have now been posted under the Condo Association tab.
11/20/11 The KGCA November Board minutes are now posted. Also posted under the Community Board Minutes tab is a letter from the Park Ranger at Lk Wenatchee State Park regarding ways the community can contribute to the park and a "First Look" report from the KGCA board regarding the recent community survey. The next KGCA Board meeting will be Dec. 31, 2011 at 9 AM at the Kahler Glen Conference Center.
11/3/11 The KGCA October Board Minutes are now posted. The next board meeting will be a teleconference on November 19, 2011 at 8:30 AM PST. Owners who would like to listen in should contact the board at board@kahlerglencommunity.com at least 24 hours prior to that meeting. They will be given the call in number and code.
9/27/11 The next KGCA Board meeting will be a teleconference on October 22, 2011 at 8:30 AM Pacific time. If you would like to listen in, please e-mail the board at board@kahlerglencommunity.com and detailed call in information will be sent to you.
9/21/11 The minutes from the September Kahler Glen Community Association Board meeting are now posted.
9/20/11 The minutes from the September Kahler Glen Condo Association Board meeting and the Condo No Smoking Policy have both been posted under the Condo Assoc Board Minutes tab.
8/17/11 The draft minutes of the 8/13/11 KGCA Board meeting are now posted. The next meeting will be September 17, 8AM, at the Kahler Glen Conference Center.
7/22/11 On Wednesday, July 27, 2011 Mitchell Paving will be at Kahler Glen doing asphalt patch repairs in various areas. This will begin at about 8 AM and continue most of the day.

7/21/11 Revised draft minutes of the May 14, 2011 Annual Owner's Meeting have been posted.
7/14/11 The draft minutes of the July 8 Community Association Board meeting are posted. The next meeting is Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 8 AM in the Kahler Glen Conference Center.

6/30/11 The July 8 Community Association Board meeting time has been changed to 9:30. Contact the board at board@kahlerglencommunity.com for directions to the meeting or information on the teleconference call.
6/10/11 The June Community Association draft Board minutes are posted. The next Board meeting is scheduled for 9:00am on Friday, July 8 in Bellevue. Community members may contact board@kahlerglencommunity.com to request an invitation to call in via the FreeConference service or to request the physical address if you wish to attend in person. The Board is aware of errors in the annual meeting minutes and plans to post a corrected draft version in the near future.
6/1/11 The May Community Association draft Board minutes are posted
5/31/11 The next Kahler Glen Community Association Board Meeting will be held on June 6, 2011 at 12:00pm. Community Members may attend this meeting via our FreeConference service by sending an e-mail requesting an invitation to board@kahlerglencommunity.com. You will receive an e-mail reply with instructions on how to call in.
5/31/11 The KGCA 2011 Annual Meeting Draft Minutes are posted.
5/25/11 The new Kahler Glen Community Association Board will hold its first meeting at 3:30pm on May 29 at the Kahler Glen Event Center.
5/16/11 The Kahler Glen Community Association Annual presentation is posted below. The draft minutes will be available in the next few days. The first meeting of the new Board will be on one of the next two weekends. I will post the place, day, and time when decided.
4/26/11 The March and April Condo Association Board minutes are posted. The April Community Association draft Board minutes are posted.
4/23/11 The Annual Meeting of the Kahler Glen Community Association is Saturday, May 14th at the Lake Wenatchee Recreation Club at the airfiled off Highway 207 at Chiwawa Loop Road. The meeting begins at 10 AM.
Important Reminders
Septic: Use garbage disposal as little as possible and avoid all eggshells and coffee grounds.
Garbage: We are now on Community Garbage. Flatten all boxes and try to recycle (Leavenworth or main home).

Home Winterization Checklist--October 08
1> Check and turn on the heat tape for your gutters and downspouts.
2> Clean the gutters so that water flows easily and the downspouts don?t clog.
3> Cover the crawlspace vents as to minimize heat loss from under your home or condo.
4> Have your furnace and or heat pump serviced. Yes, even change the filters and have spares on hand!
5> Replace the hoses to your clothes washer and/or dishwasher if they are over five years old.
6> Check the weather stripping around doors and windows. Replace/repair as necessary.
7> Check the caulking around windows and siding. Caulking does shrink. Repair as needed.
8> Make sure the pipes under the crawl spaces are wrapped.
9> Some of the homes have had the sewer vent caps come off If they have, please replace.
10> If you have hose bibs, cover them with protective covers to prevent freezing.
11> Have the propane tank filled.
12> Have gas fireplaces serviced and cleaned. They do get dusty.
13> Cover your ornamental plants so as to protect from the weight of snow.
14> Have your snow thrower serviced ? oil, spark plugs, etc.
15> Have a good flashlight and spare batteries on hand ? prepare for power outages ? yes they even happen at Kahler Glen.
16> Monitor the snow on your roof. Given heavy snow then rain, you may need to have it shoveled.
17> Winterize your lawn equipment.
18> Winterize your patio equipment ? if you have a cast iron grill for your BBQ,, get it out of the weather so as to minimize rust.
19> Winterize your golf cart if you have one.
20> Wax up those skis and get ready for a little winter fun!

Kahler Glen On-site Manager: The KGCA Board of Directors has designated Kahler Glen Resort to act as site manager. The management duties include site inspections to identify potential areas of concern, covenant or bylaw violations and identifying areas that need attention. In addition, the resort is the primary contact for problems, assistance, or questions. If you need assistance, please call the Kahler Glen office during business hours at 509-763-2121. After hours, call the same number and select "after hour emergencies and maintenance" from the menu. You will be given the phone number of the individual on duty.
